If the DGN you have open in MicroStation has a managed workspace assigned, and you close the file and select to open a local DGN, the current managed workspace remains loaded instead of changing to the local workspace. This may result in errors and cause some tools not to work. If this occurs, exit your session of MicroStation completely and open the local DGN in a new session of MicroStation.
